FBA closing fees up to ₹500 depend on the fee group Amazon puts your category in. The FBA column shows the group Amazon lists for Beauty - Makeup. Item price here includes any shipping charge the customer pays.
- Easy Ship. You pack, Amazon delivers. Flat fee per parcel: ₹55 for the first 500 g, ₹75 up to 1 kg, ₹112 up to 2 kg, then ₹34 for each extra kg up to 5 kg and ₹18 for each kg after that.
- FBA. Amazon stores, packs and delivers. First 500 g costs ₹39 regional or ₹65 national, ₹54 or ₹85 up to 1 kg, and ₹78 or ₹122 up to 2 kg. Pick and pack adds ₹17 per unit up to 1 kg, plus storage.
- Self Ship. Amazon charges no shipping fee. You pay your own courier.
- Which weight counts. The higher of actual weight and volumetric weight (length × width × height in cm ÷ 5,000). Parcels over 22.5 kg, and some large items, are heavy and bulky with a separate rate card.
Weight handling rates are for the Standard STEP level, standard size items, effective 16 March 2026. Basic level pays a little more and Premium a little less.
- Skincare and fragrance lose the zero fee above ₹500, not ₹1,000. Fragrance between ₹501 and ₹1,000 pays the highest rate in beauty.
- Makeup keeps a 0% referral fee all the way up to ₹1,000.
- Small, light items keep shipping in the lowest weight slab. Bundles can push you into the next one.

Is there a zero referral fee for beauty products on Amazon?
Yes. Items in "Beauty - Makeup" priced at ₹1,000 or less pay a 0% referral fee. You still pay the closing fee and shipping.
What closing fee does Amazon charge on a ₹449 order?
From 7 September 2026, the closing fee on a ₹449 item is ₹23 with Easy Ship and ₹26 with Self Ship, and ₹23 with FBA. GST at 18% is added on top.
How much does Amazon keep on a ₹449 beauty products order?
In our example with Easy Ship and a 200 g parcel, fees come to ₹92.04 including 18% GST on fees. That is 20.5% of the price. GST on the product and your own costs come out after that.
Do I pay GST on Amazon seller fees?
Yes. Amazon adds 18% GST to the referral fee, closing fee and shipping fee. If you are GST registered you can usually claim this back as input tax credit.
